Introduction Letter To The East Rutherford Public Schools Community
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am proud to return as your School counselor, 504 Coordinator and District Testing Coordinator! In meeting each of you and all of the students here, I am truly stepping back into this position inspired, energized and committed. I am looking forward to partnering with administration, staff, families and the community to work collaboratively in order to meet the students' needs and to provide continual opportunities of empowerment!
For those of you who I have not yet had the pleasure of formally meeting, my name is Shanelle Muse. Prior to coming on board at East Rutherford, I have worn many hats in years past: 3rd-5th grade educator in Newark, high school basketball coach in Woodbridge, middle school language arts educator, athletic director and school counselor in Jersey City and even a clinical counselor intern at an inmate assessment center in Kearny! While I am proud of the professional experiences I have had, I truly believe in the reciprocity of learning; and I can not wait to learn from all of you and our students, throughout the year!
Please know that I remain committed to providing high-quality counseling services to your child! I am looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year being one of learning and growing, with a lot of new adventures and many successes for our students to celebrate! Thank you for allowing me to rejoin the East Rutherford community. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with any concerns, suggestions or feedback. I am here to help and partner with you!
Warmly,
Shanelle Muse
